Nellie Wagner

Nellie Wagner, 91, of Middletown, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2011, at her residence. She was born in Mayking, Kentucky on October 23, 1919 to parents Mose and Polly (Kincer) Craft.

Nellie worked for Middletown City Schools for 30 years, retiring as cafeteria assistant manager in July 1989.

Mrs. Wagner is survived by her sons, James C. Wagner & Leslie V. (Patricia) Wagner; daughter, Rebekah (Larry) Hasty; brother, Owen (Hazel) Craft; sister, Dallas June Craft; five grandchildren, Gina Wagner, George (Wendy) Wagner, Kathryn (Bryan) Hoelzer, William (Melanie) Hasty & Polly Hasty; three great grandchild, Brent Wagner, Madison Hoelzer & Kellie-Rebekah Stumpf; and three step great grandchild, Trenton Hughes, Taylor Russell & Tarrynn Russell.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Henry Wagner; parents; brothers, Leslie, Lanford C., Daniel V., Felix, Denver, Grover, Clyde & Arlie Craft; sister, Della Kincer; daughter-in-law, Betty Wagner; and grandson, Todd Wagner.

The family wishes to extend their thanks to Dr. Omer Hurlburt & staff and Hospice Care of Middletown. Special thanks to Freda Tester & Lois Hale from Elderly Services, all the drivers from Meals on Wheels and the nurses of Nurses Care and Nellie's niece, Lettie Webster.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, July 29, 2011 at 1:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Elder Robert Wagner officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 12:00 - 1:00 pm. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
