O.D. Barnette

O.D. Barnette, 81, of Hillsboro, died Saturday, August 4, 2007, at his residence. He was born in Morgan County, Kentucky on May 25, 1926 to parents Frank and Dora (Craft) Barnette.

O.D. worked for McGraw Construction for 31 years, retiring in 1988. He was a faithful servant of the Lord Jesus Christ for 24 years and attended Hillsboro Church of God.

Mr. Barnette is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jo (Goodpaster) Barnette; two daughters, Patricia Ann (Lawrence) Osborne and Pamela Joy (Jim) Holloway; five sons, Denzil Dale (Karen) Barnette, Richard Lee Barnette, Danny Franklin (Kathy) Barnette, Donny Calvin Barnette, and Daryl Webb (LaRonda) Barnette; a special niece, Joyce O'Connor; 14 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 9 brothers & sisters.

The family wishes to extend their many thanks to the staff of Community Care Hospice.

Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at 1:00 PM at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown, with Reverend Larry Fultz officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:00 NOON - 1:00 pm. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
