Olive E. Rice

Olive E. Rice, 86, died Thursday, September 2, 2004, at Alterra Clare Bridge Cottage. She was born in Pike County, Kentucky on October 9, 1917, the daughter of Glen and Gertrude (Preston) Daniel.

Olive has been a dependable caregiver to her family on many occasions during her life. She moved to Tempe Arizona from Portsmouth, Ohio. She and her husband retired in Tempe and after his death, she moved to Ohio to be near her family.

Olive is survived by a brother, Willis (Grace) Daniel of Franklin, OH; a sister-in-law, Addie Evlyn Jones of Tempe, AZ; and numerous nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Rice in 1997; her parents; a brother, Richard Daniel; and a sister, Neva Daniel Mead.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, September 4, 2004 at 1:00 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr., with Reverend Robert Clark officiating. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 8, 2004 at 10:00 AM at Resthaven Cemetery in Phoenix, Arizona.
