Opal Lindsay, 96, of Middletown, died Friday, April 16, 2010, at Hospice 0f Butler and Warren Counties. She was born in Bath County, Kentucky on November 23, 1913 to parents Everett and Lula (Wells) Carter.
Mrs. Carter worked in the cafeteria at Mayfield Elementary School for 21 years.
Mrs. Lindsay is survived by her son, Kenneth (Marilyn) Lindsay; daughters, Linda (Ralph) Hughes, Joanne (Bruce) Lickliter; sisters, Francis McNabb and Audrey Fidler, brothers Charles Carter and Jackie Carter and 8 grandchildren; James (Mollie) Lindsay, Tana (Ronald) Barker, Lisa Banks, Gary (Debbie) Hines, Marcia (Chris) Mack, Michele Brewer, Lori (Terry) Hickman, and Joanie (Kelson) Combs, 14 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren
Opal was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles Lee Lindsay; and 6 brothers.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with Pastor Kenney Brewer. Interment will be at Woodside Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties, 5940 Long Meadow Dr., Franklin, OH 45005.
