Orban Joe Davis, 86, of Middletown, died Sunday, August 26, 2012, at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. He was born in Middletown, Ohio on September 1, 1925 to parents Adam and Phoebe (Blanton) Davis.
Orban served his country in the United States Army and was a painter for 37 years for J.C. Newlin Interior Decorators retiring in 1987. He was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans.
Mr. Davis is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen Wendt Davis; daughters, Beverly Daniel and Pamela Davis (Matt) Spradling; grandson, Todd (Jennifer) Daniel; granddaughter, Lisa (James) Sullivan; great grandchildren: Blake Mason, Christopher Daniel, Mikayla Daniel and Quincey Sullivan; step great grandchildren, Tyler and Michael Sullivan.
Orban was preceded in death by his parents, sister Irene Jacobs; brother Robert Davis and great grandson Brandon Mason.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at 1:00 PM at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Pastor Claude Robold officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 11:00am - 1:00 pm. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery where military rites will be accorded by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard.
