Paul H. Habig, 88, of Middletown, passed away at 8:05 AM, October 7, 2005, at his residence. He was born in Middletown, on July 22, 1917 to parents Hilbert and Etta (Bowman) Habig.
Paul was an avid hunter, fisherman, & outdoor sportsman. His hobby was collecting walnuts & hickory nuts and preparing them for friends. He was a veteran of World War II and was a retired welder from Armco Steel Corporation.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James L. Habig; two sisters, Grace Green and Marietta Wilson; and a grandson, Christopher Douglas Habig.
He is survived by his wife, Cleonabel (Cleo) W. Habig; three sons, Paul Stephen Habig & wife Kathy, Michael J. Habig & wife Mary, and Douglas H. Habig; a granddaughter, Amy Roach; and two grandsons, Scott Stephen Habig and Jon W.E. Habig.
Funeral Service will be held Monday, October 10, 2005 at 10:00 AM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.) with Reverend Susan Jones Thompson officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
