Paul J. Strain, 77, of Middletown, died Wednesday, August 1, 2007, at Hospice of Cincinnati. He was born in South Lebanon, on November 14, 1929 to parents John W. and Louanna (Brandenburg) Strain.
Paul worked as a welder for Armco Steel Corp for over 30 years, retiring in 1982. He was a veteran of the United States Army and member of VFW Post 3809, American Legion Post 218, and Milford Masonic Lodge #54.
Mr. Strain is survived by six children, Steve (Goldie) Strain, Joe (Lisa) Strain, Gayle McMillin, Richard (Ruth) Schneider, Jr., Mark (Lisa) Schneider, and Jeff (Jennifer) Schneider; sisters, Leahdell Johnson, Patricia (David) Lay, and Marilyn Bridges; brothers, Bob (Carol) Strain, Bill (Cathy) Strain, George Strain, and Raymond (Norma) Strain; his step- mother, Madge Strain; 10 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Strain in 2006; two sons, Dwight and Danny Strain; his parents; sister, Anna Adkins; and brother, Eugene Brandenburg.
Funeral Service will be held Monday, August 6, 2007 at 10:00 AM at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.) Middletown, with Reverend Lester Jones officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, August 5, 2007 from 1:00 - 3:00 PM with Masonic services by Milford Masonic Lodge #54 at 2:30 PM. Interment will be at North Monroe Cemetery with military honors conducted by American Legion Post 218 Honor Guard.
