Pauline Hess

Pauline Hess, 86, of Middletown, died Thursday, May 27, 2010, at Hawthorn Glen Senior Living Campus. She was born in Middletown on February 2, 1924 to parents Ballard and Myrtle (Adkins) VanCleve.

Pauline worked as a payroll clerk for Black Clawson. She was a member of St. Luke United Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Hess is survived by her sister, Wanda VanCleve; four nieces, Debi (David) Chandler, Melia Calvert, Tracy (Eli) Komnenovich and Pam (Steve) Peterson; a nephew, David Metcalf; and numerous great nieces & great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Hess in 1991; her parents and sisters, Ruth McGraw and Virginia Metcalf.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to Hawthorn Glen and Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties for their care of Pauline.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, May 29, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Pastor Janet Dillaman officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
