Pauline Warrens, 79, of Amherst, died Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at New Life Hospice, following a lengthy illness. She was an Amherst resident since 1999, moving from Wellington, where she had lived since 1965. She was born in Chavies, Kentucky on December 21, 1927 to parents William and Ellen (Napier) Howard.
Pauline was a custodian for Wellington Exempted Village Schools from 1970 - 1989. Throughout her life, she was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was an artist and enjoyed painting. Mrs. Warrens was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church in Wellington.
Mrs. Warrens is survived by two daughters, Sherry Bouch of Oberlin and Debbie Peda of Mentor; one son, Ron Warrens of Cincinnati; three grandchildren, Nicole Nockowski, Miranda Tabler, and Aaron Warrens; one great granddaughter; four brothers, Willis Howard of Hillsboro, Charles Howard of Franklin, Dorse Howard & Jerry Howard, both of Somerville; and four sisters, Shelby Johnson, Christine Eggleston, Brenda Allen, and Linda Melton, all of Middletown.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Curtis Warrens in 1994; her son, Dan Warrens in 2000; her parents; and a sister, Ruth Cook in 2002.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, April 14, 2007 at 10:00 AM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown, with Pastor Chad Slifer officiating. Visitation will be Friday, from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Fairmound Cemetery.
