Pearl K. Hollon

Pearl Kathleen Hollon, 86, of Middletown Ohio passed away Friday, August 26, 2016 at Atrium Medical Center after a short illness.

Born September 29, 1929 in Renick, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Luther Marion and Rose May Zimmerman Blankenship. She was preceded in death by her brothers Walter and Ernest Blankenship and sister Marion Jameson.

Pearl is survived by her son, Ronald (Sue) Kellison of Ottawa, Ontario; daughters, Sherlla Morgan (Theo) of Frankford, West Virginia, Melisa (Jeff) McMullen of Lebanon, Ohio and Angela (Mark) Petersen of West Chester, Ohio; her sister Rosemary "Tiny" Wolfe of Franklin, Ohio; grandchildren Chris (Shelley) Wykle, Corey (Jodi) Morgan, Matthew (Lindsey) Kellison, Marni (Kyle) Kellison, Steve Kellison, Sydney (Stephen) Bowden, Maison Petersen, Jordan and Keegan McMullen; and great-grandchildren Natalie and Eli Wykle.

Pearl worked at many jobs during her life. She was a dental assistant in West Virginia and, after moving to Ohio in 1966 worked at Interstate Folding Box / American Packaging until retirement. After the death of her mother, Pearl left school to look after the family home. She was widowed with two young children at age 19. One the proudest achievements of her life was returning to school at age 25 to complete her High School education, riding on the school bus with her children. Pearl was a very independent person and lived in her own home until being admitted to hospital on August 13, 2016.

A graveside service will be held at Butler County Memorial Park on Monday, August 29, 2016 at 11:00 am. There will be no visitation. Those wishing to send flowers, please have them delivered to the cemetery.
