Elnor R. "Peg" Fawns, 87, of Turtlecreek Township, died Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at Atrium Medical Center. She was born in Middletown on February 15, 1928 to parents Frank V. and Blanche (Hermann) Koeppel.
Peg had worked as a librarian for the Middletown Public Library, retiring in 1980. She then worked for the University of Texas in Dallas until 1992. She was a member of Holy Family Parish.
Mrs. Fawns is survived by her son, Timothy (Marsha) Fawns; daughter, Lea Ann (Mark) Hilboldt; sister, Joan Skinner; grandchildren, Michelle Spera, Rex M. Fawns & Kyle (fiancé Kaitlyn Estes) Jordan; and great grandchildren, Adam Spera, Brayden Jordan & Maverick Jordan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. "Chuck" Fawns; parents; and seven brothers & sisters.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, February 1, 2016 at 10:00 am at Holy Family Parish - St. John's Church, 1405 First Avenue, Middletown with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 - 4:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
