Peg Welsh, 84, of Middletown, died Monday, May 19, 2008, at Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village. She was born in Middletown, on November 1, 1923 to parents Paul S. and Carrie (Babington) Druley.
Peg worked at the Central Store for 17 years, and then for GNC as assistant manager, retiring in 1986. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, the Ladies Society of Holy Family, Forest Hills Country Club, Accent, and Salvation Army Auxiliary.
Mrs. Welsh is survived by her husband, James F. Welsh; daughter, Beth (Tom) Kast; son, Steve R. Welsh; two grandsons, Christopher R. Welsh and Andrew M. Welsh; and numerous nieces & nephews that she was close to.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Roland M. Druley and Thomas P. Druley; and sister, Betty J. Sebald.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff at Mt. Pleasant.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Parish - Holy Trinity Church with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be Tuesday, from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
