Peggy Louise Cottle, 83, of Middletown, died Saturday, December 17, 2016, at home. She was born in West Liberty, Kentucky on March 28, 1933 to parents HB and Violet McClure.
Peggy attended Morgan County High School and married her high school sweetheart, Raymond Cottle who passed away in 2009. Peggy and Raymond were married for 60 years and raised four daughters. Peggy worked during the 1960's for the Middletown Department of Parks and Recreation as an after school activities director. She later worked as an office administrator for Americana Amusement Park. Her outgoing personality and wonderful sense of humor made her beloved by everyone she met. Peggy enjoyed traveling, water skiing, boating, piloting, and was a bowling champion. She was famous for her delicious southern cooking-especially her pies! She was devoted to her family and especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren who loved and adored her in return.
Mrs. Cottle is survived by her daughters, Vicki (Ron) Berni, Penny Cottle Hardy, Rebecca (Jim) Cottle-Payne, Traci (Steven) Pennock; sister, Katherine Lindon; grandchildren, Beau (Angela) Berni, Megan Berni, Jordan (Todd) Capito, Forrest Payne, Abigail Pennock; great grandchildren, Hudson Capito, Wyett Capito, Rocco Berni; nieces, Jennifer Johns, Paula Burlile; and nephew Gary Cottle.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; husband Raymond; brothers, Tom Henry and Clarence "Buddy" McClure; sisters, Patricia Davis and Sheila McClure.
Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at 7:00 pm at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Visitation will be prior to the service from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. Interment will be at McClure Lewis Cemetery.
