Peggy Shumate, 72, of Trenton, Ohio, died on Saturday, October 30, 2004, at Middletown Regional Hospital. She was born in Middletown, Ohio on August 3, 1932 to Charles Henry and Anna (Slimak) Henning.
Mrs. Shumate was a member of Holy Family Parish and a member of St. John´s Ladies Society. She was a former member of several square dance clubs; Armco Stars, Kissing Cousins and Two By Fours in Dayton. She was an avid blood donor thru the years and spent 25 years at the polls as an associate judge.
Peggy is survived by, her husband, James D. Shumate; one daughter: Cynthia Ann (Lawrence) King; two sons: David T. Shumate and Jeffrey S. Shumate; her mother, Anna Henning and grandchildren, Krista M., Erica L. and Anna K. King all of Trenton.
She was preceded in death by her father, Heine Henning.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, November 3, 2004 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Parish - St. John's Church with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 2, 2004 from 5-8 PM at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr., Middletown, OH. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the charity of donor´s choice.
