Pete H. Stilianos

Pete H. Stilianos, 80, of Monroe, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at Ohio Living Mt. Pleasant. He was born in Piraeus, Greece on March 7, 1943 to parents, Spiro and Fotini Hatjistilianos.

Pete had worked for Armco Steel Corp for 32 years, retiring as a foreman in 2001. Following that he worked part-time for Guyler Buick/Pierson Automotive for 22 years. He had previously served in the Merchant Marines and the Greek Navy. Pete was a man of strong faith and was very active with church. He was also quite a jokester and comedian with everyone he met and he enjoyed fishing.

Pete was devoted to his family and will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Mary Ellen (Christy) Stilianos; sons, Spiro (Angie) Stilianos & Dean (Mary) Stilianos; brothers, Paul (Evy) Hatjistilianos & Nick Hatjistilianos; brother-in-law, Lou (Joyce) Christy; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews that he loved dearly.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Costa Hatjistilianos, Strato Hatjistilianos & Vasili Hatjistilianos; and brother-in-law, George Christy and his wife, Virginia. 

Funeral Service will be Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. at Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 2500 Grand Ave., Middletown with Father Anthony Cook officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. at the church. Interment  will be at Woodside Cemetery and Arboretum.
