Philip Blose

Philip Blose, 70, of Monroe, died Thursday, December 14, 2006, at Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village. He was born in Richmond, Indiana on January 23, 1936 to parents Joseph Philip and Frankie Marla (Smith) Blose, Sr.

Mr. Blose graduated from Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree and attended Petroleum Geology Graduate School at Louisiana State University. He was in United States Marine Corps, serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Monroe Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Blose is survived by his wife of 46 years, Ann (Wiley) Blose; two daughters, Wendra (Chris) Tuell and Jill (Christian) Coffman, both of West Chester; a brother, John N. (Ginny) Blose of Oklahoma City, OK; and two granddaughters, Lydia Coffman and Anna Tuell.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, December 21, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Monroe Presbyterian Church with Reverend Patrick Warren and Reverend Geoffrey Huish officiating.
