Phillip A. Carvitti, 87, of Franklin Township, died Sunday, August 27, 2017, at Franklin Ridge Healthcare Center. He was born in Bucyrus, Ohio on April 1, 1930 to parents Christopher and Rosalie Carvitti.
Phillip worked in the construction industry installing water lines, retiring in 1973 after 50 years in the field. He served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of Holy Family Parish.
Mr. Carvitti is survived by his wife, Lila (Rudd) Carvitti; many nieces & nephews; and brother-in-law, Pat Matthews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Joseph Carvitti; and sisters, Phillipine Stevenson & Carmella Matthews.
Memorial Prayer Service will be held Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr., Middletown with Deacon John Lyons officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 - 1:00 pm. Military honors will be presented at the funeral home by the Franklin VFW Post #7596 Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to Hospice of the Miami Valley, 46 N. Detroit St, Suite B, Xenia, Ohio 45385.
