Phyllis Catherine Ezell, 90, of Monroe, died Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at Ohio Living Mt. Pleasant. She was born in Hamilton on June 13, 1927 to parents Gordon R. and Virginia (Lewis) Lindsay, Sr.
Phyllis worked as a school secretary with the Middletown School System for 18 years, retiring in 1986. She enjoyed singing in the choir at St. Paul's United Church of Christ and Faith Alliance Church. In more recent years she has been a member of Monroe United Methodist Church.
Phyllis loved her family and will be greatly missed by her husband, Eugene A. Ezell; son, Benjamin J. (Barbara) Slone III; daughter, Rebecca Ann (Geoffrey) Howard; brother, John Lindsay; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ben J. Slone Jr.; parents; brothers, David Lindsay, Dale William Lindsay & Gordon Lindsay Jr.; and sisters, Alice Shaw & Camilla McCartt.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 10:00 am at Mary H. Kittredge Chapel at Ohio Living Mt. Pleasant, 225 Britton Lane, Monroe with Chaplain Karen Fleming officiating. There will be no visitation. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Ohio Living Mount Pleasant Life Care Fund, 225 Britton Lane, Monroe, OH 45050.
