Phyllis Marie “Sue” Hale, 80, of Middletown, died Monday, August 6, 2018, at Ohio's Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. She was born in Middletown on April 8, 1938 to parents Mark Denny and Bessie Marie (McComas) Hinkle.
Sue devoted her time to making a loving home for her family. She was formerly active with scouting for several years. Sue was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Mrs. Hale is survived by her husband, Louis D. Hale, Sr.; children, Jeffrey (Brigitte) Hale, Nancy (Jim) Carter, Louis D. (Kim Powell) Hale Jr. & Joe (Gad Callaway) Hale; brother, Mark D. Hinkle; five grandchildren, Desireé Melissa, James Earl, Joseph Eric, Amie Marie & Jessica Lynn; nine great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews & friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, John M. Hinkle; and sisters, Carolyn Hinkle & Barbara Hinkle.
Funeral Service will be held Thursday, August 9, 2018 at 12:30 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Matthew Hinkle officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 am - 12:30 pm. Interment will be at Mound Cemetery, Monroe.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 – OR - Ohio's Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420-1885.
