Preston A. Schrock

Preston A. Schrock, 69, of Middletown, died Wednesday, August 5, 2015. He was born in Dayton on October 14, 1945 to parents Homer J. and Thelma Geneva (Humston) Schrock.

Preston had a long & successful career in law enforcement having served with military police in the Marine Corps and Army, then with the Ohio State Patrol, Butler County Sheriff Department, was Chief of Oxford Township Police Dept. and worked with numerous area departments. He was head of security at Middletown Regional Hospital. He was an Elder at Mt. Olivet United Presbyterian Church and greatly enjoyed participating with the Butler County Master Gardener's Association.

Mr. Schrock is survived by his daughters, Andrea (Terry) Gekeler & Melissa Phelps; grandchildren, Tyler W. Murphy, Brooklyn S. Murphy, Logan S. Gekeler & Zachary W. Gekeler; sister, Diana, L. (James) Howell; uncle, Asa (Dorothy) Humston; nieces, Emily S. Howes & Jennifer A. Spriggs; nephew, Ryan A. Howell; and many other loving family & friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 7:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Reverend Dick Sedwick officiating. There will be a gathering of family & friends prior to the service from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. Inurnment will be at the Mennonite Cemetery in Trenton on Friday at 10:30 am.
