R. Dale Braun

R. Dale Braun, died peacefully at the age of 83, at his home on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 after a short battle with cancer. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on June 11, 1931 to parents Germain and Erma (Schommer) Braun.

Dale had a 43 year career as an accountant with Diamond International and its successor companies, retiring from Voith Paper in 1993. He had many friends in the Middletown community and was a longtime supporter of Fenwick High School and the University of Dayton. He was also an active member of Holy Family Parish. Dale loved all sports and was a great role model for his family & friends.

Mr. Braun is survived by his wife of 51 years, Ruth Ann (Fedders) Braun; sons, Dennis (Debbie) Braun, Rick (Bete) Braun & Donald (Sharon) Braun; eight grandchildren, Jim, Rachel, Joe, Justin, Michael, Nicholas, Eric & Maddie Braun; sister-in-law, Marge Braun; cousin, Susan Braun Mumford; and numerous nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Thomas N. Braun.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 10:00 am at Holy Family Parish - Holy Trinity Church, 201 Clark Street, Middletown with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Entombment will be at Woodside Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Holy Family Parish, 201 Clark Street, Middletown, OH 45042.
