Rachel C. Diorio, 84, of Springboro, died Friday, April 7, 2006, at Hillspring of Springboro. She was born in Naples, Italy on June 16, 1921 to Angelo and Rosa (Forni) Rossi.
Mrs. Diorio was a member of Holy Family Parish and a former member of the Sons of Italy. She worked in the grocery business and food preparation for many years in the Middletown area.
Rachel is survived by two daughters, Virginia M. (Steve) Daley and Antoinette (Greg) Agee, both of Middletown; a sister, Elvira Mangus of Middletown; two brothers, Arthur (Nancy) Rossi of Middletown and Nunzio (Laurel) Rossi of Las Vegas, NV; four grandchildren, Jim (Amber) Daley of Monroe, Kathy (James) Daley of Carlisle, Santina (Michael) Coffey of Middletown, and Christina Poe of Middletown; and four great grandchildren, Shelby Kremer, Noah Kremer, Xavier Coffey, and Mackenzie Coffey.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Michael J. Diorio; a son, James M. Diorio; her parents; and brother, Anthony Rossi.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, April 10, 2006 at 10:00 am at Holy Family Parish - St. John's Church with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-5 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.) Middletown. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
