Ralph E. Sebastian

Ralph E. Sebastian, 88, of Middletown, died Friday, May 15, 2015, at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. He was born in Daysboro, Kentucky on August 11, 1926 to parents James William Calloway and Junie May (Rose) Sebastian.

Ralph retired as a foreman in the Inspection Department of Armco Steel in 1989, after more than 32 years. He was a WWII Army veteran with the 33rd Infantry Division, serving in Luzon, Philippines and being awarded CBI & Bronze Star medals and 2 Purple Hearts. He was also an Air Force veteran serving with the 75th A.D. Wing during the Korean Conflict. Ralph was a life-member of V.F.W. Post 3809, American Legion Post 218 and the Korean Veterans Association. Over the years he attended church at the Church of God, The Church at Mayfield and Grace Baptist Church.

Mr. Sebastian is survived by his son, Gary (Molly) Sebastian; daughter, Carolyn (Gary) Gingerich; six grandchildren, Steve (Carrie) Leach, Jennifer Montgomery, Kara (Josh) Krulewicz, Michael (Kristen) Sebastian, Anna Sebastian & Daniel Sebastian; nine great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Sadie F. Sebastian in 2012 and his parents.

Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Pastor Max Fernandez officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 1:00 - 2:00 pm. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard.
