Ralph F. DeBord, 63, of Middletown, died Wednesday, May 19, 2004, at his residence. He was born in Malone, Kentucky on October 12, 1940 to parents Charlie and Eunice (Haney) DeBord.
Ralph worked as a machinist for AK Steel until his retirement in 1994. He enjoyed playing music, and working on and restoring automobiles.
Mr. DeBord is survived by his wife, Loretta (Smith) DeBord of Middletown; two sons, Thomas DeBord and Ralph (Angie) DeBord, Jr., both of Middletown; a sister, Gretta (Henry) Gunkle of Chautauqua; a brother, Rick DeBord of Middletown; 2 grandchildren; many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ralph is also survived by his special friends, Nuggie, Cujo, and Shaker.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Service will be held Monday, May 24, 2004 at 11:00 AM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr., with Reverend Tim Smith officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, from 2-5 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodhill Cemetery in Franklin.
