Ralph Waldo Hall

Ralph Waldo Hall, 77, of Trenton, was called home on December 31, 2006, at Hawthorn Glen Senior Living Campus. He was born in Morehead, Kentucky on February 26, 1929 to parents Charlie and Hettie (Smith) Hall.

Mr. Hall worked as a school teacher, retiring from full time teaching with Middletown Schools in 1983. He continued to teach as a substitute teacher in both Ohio and Florida, achieving 50 years before his retirement in 2001. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.

Ralph is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary Lu (VanSant) Hall; two daughters, Mary Beth (Alvin) Slay of Middletown and Joanna (Wendell) Murray of Somerville; two grandsons, Kevin Slay and Jacob Slay; sisters, Bea Kibler of Maryland, Mabel Cox of Lost Creek, WV, and Elizabeth Hammer of Arizona; brothers, Deward Hall of Morehead, KY and Floyd Hall of Bayford, VA; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Elmo Hall, Raymond Hall, Charles William Hall, Carl Hall, and Stewart Hall; and sisters, Frances Landry, Blanche Hardin, and Glenna Siamis.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, January 5, 2007 at 10:00 AM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown, with Reverend Dr. Howard Sears officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park with military honors.
