Raymond P. Jena

Raymond P. Jena, 75, of Middletown, died Thursday, January 22, 2004, at his residence. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on February 15, 1928 to Raymond R. and Ruth (Wright) Jena.

Mr. Jena worked as an accountant for Armco Steel Corp for over 35 years. He taught accounting and business at University of Kentucky, Wright State University, and Miami University. He was an active member of Holy Family Parish, active with Fenwick High School and Abilities First (Doty House). He was a volunteer at Hospice and AARP. Ray was a 4th degree Knight of Columbus, Toast Master, member of the Loyal Order of Moose #501, an avid golfer and bridge player. He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II.

Raymond is survived by one daughter, Rae Lyn Wise of Ft. Wright, KY; seven sons, Dennis (Barbara) Jena of Oxford, OH, Jeffrey (Carrie) Jena of Middletown, OH, Raymond (Crystal) Jena of New Albany, IN, Jay Jena of Middletown, OH, Donald Jena of Middletown, OH, Paul (Amber) Jena of Middletown, OH, and John (Debbie) Jena of Springboro, OH; and 13 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Doris M. Jena in 2002; and his parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, January 26, 2004 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Parish - Holy Trinity Church with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be Sunday, January 25, 2004 from 2-5 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., at Bonita Dr. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
