Raymond T. Petrey, 83, of Trenton, died Friday August 22, 2003 at Middletown Regional Hospital. He was born July 6, 1920 in Berea, Kentucky to the late James O. and Sarah F. (Tincher) Petrey.
Mr. Petrey worked for Delco as a mechanist for 30 years. He also served his country in the army during WWII. Raymond received the WWII Victory Medal, a Good Conduct Medal, a Bronze Star and the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with 4 Bronze Stars. Raymond was a member of the VFW and he enjoyed woodworking.
He is survived by his daughter Doris Johnson Guy of Ypsilanti, Michigan, a sister Elizabeth (Joseph) Moore of Union, Ohio, a brother-in-law Harry McGuire of Trenton and many special friends, including Mr. and Mrs. James Mobley and their family.
Raymond was preceded in death by his wife Gladys Marie Petrey, his parents and 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
Funeral services will be Tuesday August 26, 2003 at 10 AM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home (3805 Roosevelt Blvd at Bonita Dr.) with Pastor Eric Brazelton officiating. Visitation will be Monday August 25 from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Miltonville Cemetery.
