Rev. George W. Klein

Rev. George W. Klein, 81, of Trenton, died Friday, March 12, 2010, at Atrium Medical Center. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on June 19, 1928 to parents Rudolph Jack and Irene (Doran) Klein.

Father Klein did his preparatory studies at St. Gregory Seminary and studied theology at Mount St. Mary's Seminary of the West. He was ordained on May 29, 1954 at St. Monica Cathedral in Cincinnati by Archbishop Karl J. Alter. He taught at Badin, Mother of Mercy and Seton High Schools. He was a priest for 55 years, serving at Holy Trinity from 1979 - 1989 and Holy Name from 1991 - present.

Father Klein is survived by his brother, Robert (Rita) Klein; sister, Joan M. Berg; cousins, Margo Ackerman and Ted (Margaret) Dawson; and numerous nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; cousin, Alice Hoyer; and brother-in-law, Don Berg.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at 10:00 am at Holy Name Catholic Church, 222 Hamilton Ave., Trenton with Archbishop Daniel Pilarczyk as celebrant. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at the church and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday from 9:00 - 10:00 AM. Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
