Rev. Vern E. Wilson

Reverend Vern E. Wilson, 71, of Clearcreek Township, died Thursday, April 13, 2006, at his residence. He was born in Middletown, on January 18, 1935 to parents Robert James and Marie Anona (Davis) Wilson.

Vern was a 1953 graduate of Monroe High School. He served his country in the United States Air Force during Korea. He retired from Middletown Schools, where he worked in maintenance. He was a member of Morrow Baptist Church and graduated from Boyce Bible School in 1983.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Shirley (Tucker) Wilson; two daughters, Sheila (Dan) Warrick of Middletown and Karen Wilson of Springboro; three sons, Art (Kelly) Wilson of Oregonia, OH, Allen Dale (Janet) Wilson of Lovelady, TX, and James Wilson of Bethany, OK; a sister, Betty Lou Mears of Dayton; brother, Richard (Carol) Wilson of Rew, PA; four grandchildren; six step grandchildren; one great grandchild; and five step great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Martha E. Wilson; brother, Don Wilson; and one step grandchild.

Funeral Service will be held Monday, April 17, 2006 at 10:00 AM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown, with Pastor Dan Bryant and Pastor John Holbrook officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
