Richard Allen Ellis, 63, of Nalcrest, Florida died Wednesday January 22, 2004 in Florida. He was born June 12, 1940 in Middletown to parents William and Anna Lou (Combs) Ellis.
Mr. Ellis was a letter carrier for the US Post Office in Middletown for 31 years retiring in 1992. He was also a carrier for the Newschief News paper in Florida. Mr. Ellis loved fishing, playing basketball, movies, Elvis, and surfing the internet.
Richard is survived by his wife Patricia (Davis) Ellis of Nalcrest, Florida, children Kerry Vincent Ellis of Middletown, Alisa Gail (James) Hart of Waynesville, Ohio, and William Richard Ellis of Winter Haven Florida. Three grandchildren, Austin Ellis of Middletown, Kelly Hart and Andrew Hart both of Waynesville. Survivors also include sisters, Betty Dobzynecki of Middletown, Juanita Evans of Cincinnati, Carol Sue (Von) Elam of Middletown, and Diane Ellis of Middletown, sister and brother in law Judy and Frank Capozzi, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Delma Armstrong, Jeannie Randolph, Patty Gilbertson, and Virginia Bush, and brothers William and David Ellis.
Funeral services will be Tuesday January 27, 2004 at 10AM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd at Bonita Dr, with the Pastor Hugh Hurley officiating. Visitation will be Monday January 26, from 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
Entombment will be at Woodside Cemetery Mausoleum.
