Richard E. Coddington

Richard E. Coddington, 85, of Madison Township, died Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at Close To Home. He was born in Middletown on February 16, 1928 to parents John and Blanche (Shade) Coddington.

Richard served his country in the United States Air Force. He was active with the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary and Meals-On-Wheels.

Mr. Coddington is survived by his children, Cynthia (Woodrow) Bell, Paul (Marcia) Coddington, Karen Coldiron, Susan (Chris Lacy) Smith, Mary Ann (Donnie) Morris & Patricia (Donald) Beasley; sister, Jean Schroer; 14 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Service will be held Monday, July 8, 2013 at 7:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Pastor Michelle Terry officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. Military honors will be conducted by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard.
