Richard J. Gall, 85, of Trenton, died Sunday, April 28, 2013, at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born in Middletown, Ohio on June 28, 1927 to parents Howard and Regina (Sauter) Gall.
Mr. Gall entered the service as a sophomore in high school serving in the United States Army Air Corp. He was a fireman for the Middletown Fire Dept. for 36 years and a dispatcher for the Lemon Township Police Dept. Richard also worked as a custodian at Edgewood Schools and did maintenance and custodial duties at Holy Name Catholic Church in Trenton. Mr. Gall was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church and a longtime member of the Trenton Lions Club.
Richard was loved dearly by his family and all who knew him.
Mr. Gall is survived by his wife of 65 years, Joanne (Kurry) Gall, children, Janet (John) Mobley, David (Melody) Gall, Beth (Ron) Meadows, Nancy Fitzwater and grandchildren, Jessie, James, Jenny, Tara, Deanna, Mark, Jeff and Danny; great grandchildren, Ashley, Katlyn, Mallorie, Matthew, Nikolas, Jillian, Gwendolyn, Isaac, Andrew and Levi.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Fred Gall; son, Ricky Gall and granddaughter, Julia Ann Mobley.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, May 2, 2013 at 10:00 am at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 222 Hamilton Ave., Trenton with Father Thomas H. McCarthy as celebrant. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown, OH. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
