Richard L. Mandera, 79, of Middletown, died on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Atrium Medical Center. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA on June 4, 1941 to parents, Richard and Madeline (Cox) Mandera.
Richard had worked for Armco/AK Steel for 40 years, retiring as Executive Finance Director. Following his retirement he worked as a consultant for AK in Human Resources. Richard was an avid golfer.
Mr. Mandera is survived by his daughters, Kimberly (Wayne) Van Amberg & Charmaine (Tom) Dufresne; brothers, James Mandera, Robert Mandera & Thomas Mandera; sisters, Teresa Fisher & Lynn Amrhein; six grandchildren, Shane Warrington, Megan Heil, Christian Petty, Phoenix Petty, Brianna Mealor & Hunter Van Amberg; and one great grandchild, Riley Longfellow.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris A. Mandera in 2009; son, Scott Johnson in 2012; and parents.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with entombment at Woodside Mausoleum.
