Richard Leroy “Dick” Pottorf, 72, of Trenton, died Thursday, March 23, 2006, at his residence. He was born in South Lebanon on October 30, 1933 to parents Andy and Agnes (King) Pottorf.
Dick worked as an inspector for Armco Steel Corporation. He served his country in the United States Air Force.
Mr. Pottorf is survived by his wife of 48 years, Shirley (Taylor) Pottorf; two daughters, Glenna (Bob) Setters and Beth Pottorf, both of Trenton; two sons, Rick (Renee) Pottorf of West Alexandria and Kenny (Leah) Pottorf of Trenton; a sister, Lula Mae (Rex) Crase of South Lebanon; brother, Andy (Terri) Pottorf of Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren, Craig (Dana) Setters, Chris (Holly) Setters, Andy Pottorf, Jenna Pottorf, Dakota Pottorf, Alexis Pottorf, and Carlee Merry; and many nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ralph & Jim Pottorf, and Willard Clonch; and sisters, Pauline Ritchie and Betty Conger.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, March 25, 2006 at 10:00 AM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.) with Pastor Bruce Powell officiating. Visitation will be Friday, from 5-8 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park with graveside military honors conducted by American Legion Post 218 Honor Guard.
