Rita E. Doughty

Rita Eileen (Hickman-Taylor) Doughty, 79, of Trenton, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 4, 2014, at home with family at her side. She was born in Middletown, Ohio on May 24, 1935 to parents Cicero and Emma (Hivick) Hickman.

Rita attended Lemon Monroe High School and retired from Avon after many years of service. She was an avid square dancer & clogger and was a member of the Henry Ford Square Dance Club. She also enjoyed extensive traveling throughout her lifetime.

She is survived by Gordon K. Doughty; her son, Michael (Jackie) Taylor; daughters, Melody Hollingsworth & Michele (Michael) Hughes; grandchildren, Brian (Amy) Donahoe, Heather Donahoe, Anthony Taylor, Jennifer (Tommy) Lawson, Christina Smith, Joshua Hughes & Christina Hughes; and great grandchildren, Michael, Kaylin, Maddilynn, Cameron & Will.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, William Hickman; sister, Evelyn Oligee; and grandson, Calvin E. Smith Jr. and his infant son Ryan.

The family wishes to extend their thanks to Hospice of Southwestern Ohio for all their care & support.

Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Chaplain Tracy Paul Downs officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
