Robert A. Brehm, 92 of Middletown died on Saturday afternoon at Middletown Regional Hospital. Bob was born in Hamilton, Oh on Jan 24, 1912 to Glenn W. & Mary P. (Zettler) Brehm.
He retired from ARMCO in 1974 after 39 years, as a turn foreman. Mr. Brehm was a member of Holy Family Parish-St. John’s Church, where he sang in the choir for 50 years. He served in the Air Force in WWII. He was a life member of the American Legion Post 218, where he had served as chaplain. He was chaplain of the American Legion Honor Guard, a life member of both VFW Post 3809 and DAV Chapter 131, Middletown Senior Citizens, AARP, Past Chaplain of 4th District American Legion in Cincinnati.
Mr. Brehm is survived by his wife Marie M. ( Wessels) Brehm, two sons Thomas H. Brehm, Middletown, and Glenn R. (Sue) Brehm, Hillsboro, one brother William F. Brehm, Middletown, three grandchildren; Chad T.(Marianne) Brehm, Clint M. Brehm, Melissa A. (Jason) Hoogerhyde, two great grandchildren Hayden & Evan Hoogerhyde.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother George Edward Brehm, a sister Mary Jane Dulle.
Visitation Tuesday from 5-8 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd, at Bonita Drive. Mass of Christian will be Wednesday at 10:00 am at Holy Family Parish-St. John’s Church, Fr. John Civille officiating.
Interment at Buter County Memorial Park, with graveside military services by American Legion Post 218, Honor Guard.
