Robert A. Stoops

Robert A. "Bob" Stoops, 65, of Middletown, died Friday, May 7, 2010, at Atrium Medical Center. He was born in Middletown on September 4, 1944 to parents Robert D. and Anna Louise (Willis) Stoops.

Bob worked in maintenance for Armco Steel / AK for 32 years, retiring in 1997. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church.

Mr. Stoops is survived by his wife, Virginia (Cowgill) Stoops; daughter, Sherrie (Tom) Robertson; brother, Jeff L. Stoops; sister, Betty "Arlene" (Bill) Hartman; two nieces, Lori and Amy and one nephew, Jim.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, David R. Stoops.

Memorial service will be held Friday, May 14, 2010 at 12:00 Noon at Christ United Methodist Church, 700 S. Marshall Rd., Middletown with Reverend Todd Mills officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:30 - 12:00 Noon at church.
