Robert 'Bob' Ryan

Robert I. "Bob" Ryan, 81, of Middletown, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at Atrium Medical Center. He was born in Albany, New York on August 16, 1931 to parents Robert and Helen (Curran) Ryan.

Bob managed all the Kroger stores in Middletown from 1966 to 1986, retiring after 36 years of service. He served in the United States Navy for 6 years. Bob was a member of Holy Family Parish, member of The Knights of Columbus # 1610 for 25 years, a 4th Degree Knight Assembly 2299, member of American Legion Post 218 and was active with Keep Middletown Beautiful.

Mr. Ryan is survived by his wife, Linda; children, Erin Ryan Hipsher & Sean (Joni) Ryan; grandsons, Adam Ryan & Kellen Allen; great granddaughter, Chloe Ryan; and sister Marie Mahoney.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Ryan; and granddaughter, Katie Rose Hipsher.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 12:00 Noon at Holy Family Parish - St. John's Church, 1405 First Avenue, Middletown with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Entombment will be at Butler County Memorial Park Mausoleum with military honors conducted by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard.
