Robert "Boots" Propps

Robert E. “Boots” Propps, 81, of Madison Township, died Saturday, January 27, 2018, at Atrium Medical Center.  He was born in Lemon Township on September 11, 1936.

Boots worked with Labor Union 534, retiring in 1999.  He loved following Monroe sports.  He also was an avid coon hunter and member of the Butler County Coon Hunters Association.

Mr. Propps is survived by his wife, Carolyn Propps; son, Scott (Penny) Propps; step son, Don (Susan) Crank; sister-in-law, Francis Propps; grandchildren, Michael, Brittany, Kahrynn & Charlee Propps; great granddaughter, Shae Johnson; and many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer Propps; mother, Nora (Wardlow) Cast; and brothers, Ervin Propps, Charles "Shorty" Propps & A. Hank Propps.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 10:00 am at Monroe First Church of God, 100 East Ave., Monroe with Pastor Rick Duff and Reverend Terry Ball officiating.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown.  Interment will be at North Monroe Cemetery.
