Robert D. Cass Hartman, 82, of Middletown, died Sunday, March 26, 2006, at home. He was born in Middletown, on September 4, 1923.
Mr. Hartman worked as a 3rd helper for Armco Steel Corporation for 40 years, retiring in 1980. He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a member of Crosspointe Church of Christ.
Robert is survived by two daughters, Melodie (Mark) Redman of Middletown and Elizabeth (Lester) King of Carlisle; one son, Timothy Hartman of Trenton; 12 grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Homer Cass, Helen Hartman, and Broderick Hartman; grandchildren, Mary Kathleen Gantt, Thomas Dale Hartman, and Lesley Ann King; brothers, James L. Hartman and Harold E. Hartman; and sister, Jean Woodward.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to Vitas Hospice for their care.
Funeral Service will be held Thursday, March 30, 2006 at 10:00 AM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.) with Reverend James Kinser officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 5-7 PM at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Butler County Memorial Park Mausoleum with military honors conducted by American Legion Post 218 Honor Guard.
Memorial donations may be made to Crosspointe Church of Christ, 5630 State Route 122, Franklin, OH 45005.
