Robert H. Adams

Robert H. Adams, 81, of Trenton, died Saturday, November 1, 2008, at Hospice of Hamilton. He was born in Cass County, Indiana on July 22, 1927 to parents Leonard and Grace (Stamper) Adams.

Mr. Adams worked as a roll grinder for Armco Steel Corp. (AK Steel), retiring in 1989 after over 39 years. He was a Navy veteran and member of the American Legion Post 218. He was also a member of Walton Lodge #423 F.&A.M. in Walton, Indiana, Middletown Antioch Shrine, of which he was president in 1992, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton, and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #330 in Trenton.

Mr. Adams is survived by his wife, Teresa L. (Donisi) Adams; sons, David (Christeta) Adams, Stephen Adams, Gary David (Sara) Adams, David (Conni) Deaton, Darrell (Judy) Deaton, Lloyd Deaton and Joe Deaton; daughters, Debbie Visgirda and Philomena (Jon) Lewis; brothers, Rod (Norma Jean) Adams and Jack Adams; sisters, Bonnie (Ray) Rush and Anita Gose; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Norma Jean (Kessler) Adams; sons, Joseph E. Adams and Mark A. Adams; parents; and 5 sisters.

Memorial service will be held Saturday, November 8, 2008 at 11:00 am at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown with Reverend Dr. Roger Green officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 am with Masonic Services at 10:30 AM.

As was his request, Robert's body was donated to Wright State University. The family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr. Gary Brown and Dr. Albert Malcolm.
