Robert J. Schwab, 62, of Middletown, died Tuesday, April 20, 2004, at Kettering Medical Center. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on January 16, 1942 to John and Rose (Rossi) Schwab.
Robert worked as a mechanical engineer for Square D, retiring in 2002 after 25 years of service. He taught history at Fenwick High School for 14 years. He coached football at Fenwick for 32 years, and also coached the boys wrestling team. He started and coached the girls track team. He was a member of the Fenwick and Butler County Sports Hall of Fame, and Holy Family Parish.
Robert is survived by his wife Karon L. (Stamper) Schwab; one daughter, Amanda (Michael) Burke of Carlisle, OH; two sons, John Richard (Beth) Schwab of Monroe, OH, and Steven Michael Schwab of Jeffersonville, NC; three sisters, Shirley Schwab, Patricia (Tom) Adams, and Beverly (Dan) Combs; five brothers, John (Carlyne) Schwab, Donald (Sharion) Schwab, Thomas (Patricia) Schwab, William (Jean) Schwab, and Frederick (Laura) Schwab all of Middletown, OH; and grandchildren, Ashley & Samantha Schwab and Laura & Fredi Burke.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Michael Schwab.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, April 24, 2004 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Parish - St. John's Church with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be Friday, from 5-8 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be sent to Girls Track Team at Fenwick High School, 3800 Manchester Rd., Middletown, OH 45042.
