Robert L. “Bob” Klapper, 80, of Middletown, was surrounded by family when he finally gave up the fight of a longtime illness on Monday, October 9, 2017. He was born in Monroe on January 26, 1937 to parents Earl and Mary (Schaefer) Klapper.
Bob worked for Packaging Corp of America for 35 years, retiring from the print shop in 1992. He served his country in the United States Army.
Bob loved his family and friends and will be deeply missed and never forgotten by his wife, Shirley M. (Swoger) Klapper; children, Robert Earl "Bobby" (Yvonne) Klapper, Angela Renee Klapper, William Joseph "Bill" (Cathy) Klapper & Kenneth Marion Allen (Connie) Paynter; grandchildren, Felisha, Cory, Tony, Tommy, KC, Haylee, Cody & Seth; great grandchildren, Abigail, Dylan, Malia, MaeKayla, Peyton, Roman, Harper & Damian; sister, Joanne Klapper; sister-in-law, Peggy Martens; and many nieces & nephews; as well as his beloved dog, Sofie. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Lois Lindley & Patty Marxen.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 6:00 pm at North Fairfield Baptist Church, 6853 Gilmore Rd., Hamilton. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 5:00 - 6:00 pm at the church.
Memorial donations may be made to Butler County Veteran's Service Commission, 315 High Street, 1st Floor, Hamilton, Ohio 45011.
