Robert Leon Hansen

Robert Leon Hansen, 88, of Middletown, died Thursday, April 5, 2012, at Atrium Medical Center. He was born in Fair Oaks, Indiana on August 28, 1923 to parents Felix and Anna (Gross) Hansen.

Robert worked in the coating department at Armco Steel Corp for over 30 years, retiring in 1985. He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II, was a member of the American Legion Post 218 and Blue Ball Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Hansen is survived by his daughters, Donna (Rob) Jewett & Linda Darlene Hansen; sister, Annie Halsema; grandchildren, Gregory (Venae) Jewett, Michael (Jessica) Jewett & Heather Kirkpatrick; great grandchildren, Sarah & Shannon Kirkpatrick, Evan & Eron Jewett and Madelyn & Colin Jewett.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Freda Hansen in 2008; parents; brothers & sisters, Joe Hansen, Minnie Kennedy, Ed Hansen & Leon Hansen.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, April 7, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Reverend Kevin Lawler officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 11:00 - 1:00 pm. Interment will be at Miltonville Cemetery with military honors.
