Lacy, Robert Louis
Robert Louis Lacy, 84, of Liberty Township, went to be with the Lord, his brothers and other family on Sunday, April 15, 2018. He was born in Adams County at the hospital located on West Union Rd. on October 1, 1933 to parents Ernest Thomas and Ida Lillian (Mitchell) Lacy.
Robert was a very outgoing and happy young man, growing up with twelve brothers & sisters. He sure loved the outdoors. Fishing, shooting, and hunting were some of his main hobbies. At the age of 21 he enlisted in the United States Army and went all the way from Japan to Korea. After completing his service in the Army Reserves, he was honorably discharged. Thank you for your service Mr. Lacy.
Robert was a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, son and friend who is survived by his only son, Robert Lee (Trisha) Lacy; grandchildren, Robert Lee Lacy Jr. & Samantha Lacy; and great grandchild, Emma Rae Pendergrass. He is also survived by family members, Ruth Smith, Millard Lacy, Edna Chaney, Betty Lacy Hoop, Johnny Lacy & Mary Lacy Farrell.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn C. Lacy just a week and a half before he passed himself; parents; and brothers, Thomas, Charles, Ralph, Eugene & Donald. May he rest in great eternal peace forever free of any pain or worries
Graveside service will be held Friday, April 20, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Butler County Memorial Park Mausoleum, 4570 Trenton-Oxford Rd., Wayne Township with Colonel Dan Burris officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard.
