Robert Stapleton

Robert “Shurl” Stapleton, 76, of Wayne Township, died Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at Atrium Medical Center. He was born in West Liberty, Kentucky on March 6, 1941 to parents Ray and Audra (France) Stapleton. Shurl worked in construction for AJ Stapleton Excavating.

Mr. Stapleton is survived by his wife, Loretta "Betty" (Gilliam) Stapleton; daughter, Marcia Snively; son, Michael (Kathy) Stapleton; brothers, Bill (Joyce) Stapleton, Paul Stapleton & Jerry (Janice) Stapleton; sisters, Josephine (Paul) Jarvis & Rosemary Brown; four grandchildren, Natalie Snively, Hannah Snively, Joshua (Angela) Stapleton & Justin Stapleton; and many other loving family & friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Helen Stapleton, Nannie LeMaster & Phyllis Earle; infant twin brother, Lauton Earl Stapleton and brothers, A.J. Stapleton & Curt Stapleton.

Funeral Service will be held Monday, October 23, 2017 at 11:00 am at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr., Middletown with Rev. Donnie Pack, Rev. Paul Jarvis & Rev. Todd Wallen officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 - 5:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
