Robert William Hammerle, 86, of Avon Park, Florida, died November 10, 2011, at Heartland Medical Center in Florida. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on November 18, 1924 to parents Joseph and Mary (Gallagher) Hammerle.
Mr. Hammerle was a World War II veteran in the army. He retired from Armco in 1986 after 35 years of service. He was a supervisor and a foreman for project 600. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Florida, Knights of Columbus, Highland Ridge Golf Club, former of Wildwood Golf Club and the 700 Club at Eastern Lanes.
He is survived wife, Naomi (Biram) Hammerle; one daughter: Jean M. (Bill) Schwab; four grandsons, Billy (Stephanie Bair-Garant) Schwab, Rob (Val) Schwab, Joey Schwab and Timmy Schwab; and three step children.
He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Mary A. Hammerle (1991), brother, Jack Hammerle, and sister, Patricia Hopkins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, November 18, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Parish - Holy Trinity Church with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be Thursday, November 17, 2011 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park. Military Services conducted by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard.
