Ron Cantrell

Ron Cantrell, 62, of Middletown, died Wednesday, May 17, 2006, at Middletown Regional Hospital. He was born in Wise County, Virginia on January 30, 1944 to parents Arthur and Dixie (Phelps) Cantrell.

Ron worked as a machine operator for Diamond International Paper Company and Appleton Paper Company, retiring in 2005.

Mr. Cantrell is survived by two sisters, Carol (Hubert) Sloan of Middletown and Doris (Raymond) Phillips of Carlisle; three step sons, David Albin of Hamilton, Robert Albin of Fairfield, and Ronnie Cassidy of Middletown; his first wife, Lois Bennet; nieces, Kim (John) Borders, Angela (Joey) Gay, Lainie (Jay) Saurbeck, Kelly (Josh) Carberry, and Dayla Sloan; his mother, Dixie (Phelps) Cantrell of Middletown; mother-in-law, June King Mullins of Franklin; and his best friend, his Boston Terrier, Sam.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca (King) Cantrell in 2001; and his father, Arthur Cantrell.

Funeral Service will be held Monday, May 22, 2006 at 10:00 AM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.) with Reverend Jim Dalton officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, from 1:00 - 4:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Springboro Cemetery.
