Ronald J. Hallee, passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023 at his home. He was born in Waterville, Maine on August 15, 1945 to Conrad and Yvonne (Grenier) Hallee.
He graduated from Waterville High School, attended Kents Hill and graduated from Thomas College with a degree in Business. Ron played hockey in Waterville, Kents Hills and Boston University. He was a teacher and hockey coach in Swampscott, Massachusetts and also taught at the Dexter Regional Vocational School. In the summers he and his wife owned and operated Lake Shore Lunch for 16 years. He was also employed at Scott Paper in Winslow, Maine and Sorg - Bay West Paper in Middletown, Ohio from where he retired.
Ronald is survived by his wife of 54 years, Vernita; two sons, Michael (Whitney) Hallee of Loveland, Ohio and Jason (Colleen) Hallee of Yarmouth, Maine; four grandchildren, Dak Manjarrez, Ford Hallee, Lauren Hallee and Ian Hallee; one brother, Reggie (Pam) Hallee of Augusta, Maine; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Ron enjoyed traveling, playing cards, his Bernese Mountain dog, Dixie and summer visits to camp on Lake Wassookeag in Dexter, Maine. Most of all he loved having his family around.
A memorial service will be held in July 2024 at camp in Dexter, Maine. Until that time, if anyone wishes, donations may be made in Ron's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105.
