Ronald Patrick Smith, Sr.

Ronald Patrick Smith, Sr., 85, of Somerville, died on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at his home. He was born in Middletown on February 11, 1935 to parents, William and Pauline (Nelson) Smith.

Ron had worked as a security guard for Doyle Protective Sevices, retiring in 1998. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Ron was a member of Holy Family Parish - Holy Trinity Church.

Mr. Smith is survived by his children, Danielle (Mike) Floyd, Ronald Patrick (Tammy Renee) Smith Jr., Rhonda (Mark) Eichhorn, David (Terri) Ferguson, Darryl (April) Ferguson, Danny Ferguson, Christopher McClain, Patrick (Sue) Smith, Deborah (Jeff) Dunfee, Karen (Kevin) Campbell & Kathleen (Daron) Binkley; brother, Kelly "Kaye" (Gene Ann) Smith; and many grandchildren & great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Billy Smith & Timothy Smith.

Mass of Christian Burial will beThursday, October 29, 2020 at 11:00 am at Holy Family Parish - Holy Trinity Church, 201 Clark Street, Middletown with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be prior to the mass from 10:00 - 11:00 am at the church. Burial will be at Woodside Cemetery and Arboretum with military honors conducted by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard.
